2010 is the 10th Anniversary of The Buddhist Place!
We've chosen to celebrate together once each month during this
year in some special activity. January we had a wonderful potluck
gathering at George & Ellie's; February we had a Day of Mindfulness;
March will be the Exchange; April 16-19, the retreat with Molly;
May 8 will be our Garage & Plant Sale .
End of May or early June we have been invited to gather at a lake
home.

AUGUST 7, 2010 - 10th Anniversary Celebration
Activity
**NOTE change of venue for morning meditation!! Still followed
by breakfast at The Planet for those interested.
**meditation happening at Little Lake Cemetery - 8:30AM *
Meditation theme: Reflection on Death -
- focusing on contemplation of the body & dissolution of the
body
This will follow the practice orginally observed by Kun Li Sur,
founding nun of The Buddhist Women's Sangha aka
The Buddhist Place - led by don ferren and others
DIRECTIONS:
- 8:30AM meet at entrance of cemetery, Crescent St. & Taggart
St.
(coming from town on Lock St. go to stop sign at Romaine, turn
left onto Crescent, follow to entrance; from Lansdowne on Lock
St. go to stop at Romaine, turn right to Crescent)
-bring something waterproof to sit upon (raincoat?) because ground
will be damp...or folding chair; a tarp will be provided
- IN CASE OF RAIN, WE WILL MEET AT ST. JOHN'S AT 8:30

Falls & Potluck Picnic by canoe or hiking is being planned
By canoe - we could choose to go from Haltain on Eel's Creek to
the Falls OR up from the bridge at the bottom of Eel's Creek to
the Falls

canoes, time, requirements, etc.
